Virginia Addison

I was originally diagnosed with leukemia back in August of 2020 and since then, I have had to go through this disease twice— meaning I have had to lose all of my hair twice. Hannah and I met through a mutual friend when I was in recovery in November of 2021. During that time, I was completely bald. I was barely going out in public because my immune system was still very weak. The times I did go out, I would wear a bright pink wig.

I came in for a consult with Hannah and she instantly made me feel so comfortable. She took measurements, she answered all of my questions, and she thoroughly explained the timeline. Once the wig was ready, she took the time to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. She colored it. She trimmed it. She even showed me how to wash and style it.

The wig itself was such high quality. It fit snug to my hair line and she it trimmed it in a way that helped it look completely real. I couldn’t get over the fact that I could wear it in a pony tail and flip my head upside down without it falling off….I had never heard of a wig with those capabilities. No matter where I placed my part, it looked like my real scalp. No one knew I was wearing a wig at all. I even wore it to play in my weekly kickball league!

For me, I wanted the wig to feel like the hair I had before I had lost it to cancer. The second she put it on me for the first time, I had tears of joy running down my face. It was the first time since losing my hair that I felt like myself again.

Throughout this process, not only was I able to connect with Hannah about hair loss, but I also got to know her as a person. She pours herself into her career and loves helping people feel happy and like themselves again. I believe that is the beauty in all of this at the end of the day. To have someone with as much passion as Hannah truly makes all of the difference.
